These thermal tunnels are designed for making group packs. Two rolls of film are used for this type of equipment at the same time: one of them is at the top and the other one is at the bottom. Products prepared for packing are placed on the specially designed area, the pushing device is activated by servo gear. A film is formed on the product within the course of pushing it, whereas a sealing blade comes down and seals the film. Then the conveyor delivers the product to the thermal tunnel. This type of thermal tunnels can reach a rate of approximately 6-8 packs/min. depending on the size of the product and thickness of the film. The film used, i.e. heat shrinkable PE (polyethylene).
