There are two types of equipment used for reinforcement with a metal strap: mechanical and pneumatic. In case of using mechanical equipment, a strap is pulled over and fastened by means of turning a lever. In case of using pneumatic equipment, a strap is pulled over and fastened by means of pushing certain buttons. Pneumatic equipment requires compressed air.
